Ecotourism in Colombia is made possible through three unique ecological borders that no other country can say they have – the Caribbean Sea to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Amazon Rainforest in the south. In total, Colombia has 55 nature reserves and national parks that cover five regions across the country. They range from ocean sanctuaries in the Pacific and Caribbean regions, dry forests and glacial mountain ranges in the Andean region, and wetland rainforests in the Orinoco and Amazon regions.
