Comprising of over 17,000 islands, Indonesia is the largest island nation in the world and has over 400 active volcanoes. Ecotourism in Indonesia has gained a lot of popularity in recent years with the protection of ocean reserves and the establishment of ecolodges across the country. Indigenous Indonesian communities have joined together to create tourism product in their communities and forests in a bid to ecosystem and we will soon explore these.
